Have you ever imagined being able to work and having fun at the same time? Or even travel for free? Well if you did, this is the right job for you. Travel nurses are registered nurses from diverse clinical backgrounds, who are temporarily assigned to different care areas with a very high-need to fill in short-term gaps. It can basically be a hospital, a clinic or care-areas with patients needing care but  are short on staff and need a nurse quickly. In reason of these shortages, health care facilities have a lot of positions that need to be filled out, and travel nurses happened to be the ones to fill those open positions. They usually treat patients across the country (city, provinces, states) or outside the country as international travel nurses. Those nurses are very important because they increase patients safety and lower mortality. To become a travel nurse you should first pursue a two year nursing degree, it is required to obtain an associate's (ADN) or a Bachelor's degree (BSN) in nursing. After completing the program and succeeding the NCLEX-RN exam you should be able to work as a travel nurse, however most travel nurse agencies have a minimum of one year hands-on experience. Also international travel nurses should speak the language of the country they are to practice in because communication is crucial in order to provide health care.

A travel may be required to have a few certifications some examples are:

Travel nursing is one of the jobs that will give you a free ticket for traveling. You get paid to travel, you also get free meals, you get medical, dental, and vision coverage retirement plans etc. HOW COOL IS THAT? plus it is a career that is expected to grow in many years to come
